The 1st Annual Undergraduate Spring Symposium will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday April 8, 2017 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms on the WVU Main Campus. This event is free and open to everyone at the university as well as to members of the general public.
More than 100 undergraduate students from wide-ranging disciplines, from engineering to audiology and agriculture to creative arts, will explain the results of their original research and/or creative projects with attendees. Poster abstracts and titles can be viewed in the symposium program guide. The poster event will coincide with prospective student and family attendance at the April 8 Decide WVU Day at the Mountainlair. Undergraduate presenters will share their experiences with incoming WVU freshmen and their parents to show them what amazing work our WVU undergraduates are doing.
The WVU Office of Undergraduate Research and the Honors College in
conjunction with Undergraduate Admissions, Eberly College's SpeakWrite, the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates (ACS-SA), the Intercollegiate Biochemistry Program, and the Biochemistry Student Club are organizing this campus-wide,
culminating spring poster event to celebrate undergraduate scholarly activity
(research/creative endeavors) whilst encouraging prospective students to decide
on attending WVU.
