Cinthia Pacheco

Cinthia Pacheco holds a B.S. in Dentistry, as well as Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmacology, all from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. She has also served as a visiting scientist at the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) and the University of Pittsburgh (PITT). Her passion for research began early in her life as an undergraduate student participating in a research program. During her 16-year tenure as a professor of Dentistry, she sought to create similar research opportunities for undergraduates, recognizing the profound impact research can have on their lives and future careers. Currently, as the Director of UGR, Cinthia is dedicated to continuously increasing the participation of both students and faculty mentors in undergraduate research.
