Exercise Physiology and Psychology
About Michelle:
As a Delaware native, Michelle was first attracted to the small-town atmosphere and pride associated with being a student at WVU. Since moving to Morgantown, she has also found love for the beautiful campus scenery when walking between classes.
As a junior dual majoring in Exercise Physiology and Psychology, Michelle spends her extra time in Dr. James Lewis’s Neuroscience laboratory. Her love for research greatly expanded during her
full-time research experience as a SURE student when she was able to work on image processing, scripting, and statistical analyses for her project “Aberrant Cortical Networks for Multi-Sensory Processing in Autism Spectrum Disorder.”
Following graduation Michelle intends to attend medical school where she can continue to serve at the forefront of care for her patients.
When she is not in classes or working in the lab, Michelle loves volunteering her time to exercise physiology clubs and tutoring centers, as well as brushing up on her second language, German.
