Winner:  Makenzi Cutright presented: Addressing Adherence and Adolescent Responsibility in Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients. Mentor: Chirstina Duncan and Cecily Conour. Makenzi is a Neuroscience major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP). 

Science & Technology:

Winner: Leonardo Peele presented: Cooperative Formation Control for a Team of UAVs. Mentor: Guilherme Pereira. Leonardo is a Computer Science major in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) and the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE).

Winner:  Max Morgan presented: The Politics of State Textbook Adoption Policy: A Comparative Analysis of Mississippi and Arkansas. Mentor: John Kilwein. Max is a History and Political Science major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Biological & Biochemical Sciences:

Winner: Cooper Coursey presented: Advancements in Culture Microscopy to Characterize Nematode Parasitism in Multicellular Organisms at the Molecular Level: Mentor: James Kotcon. Cooper is a Biology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Runner-Up: Landon Richards presented: Recombinant alkaline phosphatase (recAP): a potential therapeutic for sepsis-associated neurological dysfunction in aged mice. Mentor: Candice Brown. Landon is a Neuroscience major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Runner-Up: Jonathan Cook presented: The Proline Transporter SLC6a20a Critical to Maintain Retinal Metabolism. Mentor: Jianhai Du. Jonathan is a Biology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Environmental & Agricultural Sciences:

Winner-tie: Corinne Hazel presented: A New Species of Fungus Symbiotic with the Morning Glory Ipomoea tricolor. Mentor: Daniel Panaccione. Hazel is an Environmental Microbiology major in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Winner-tie: Cynthia Shaffer presented: A New Perspective: Using Technology to Create a Better Analysis for Fawn Survival Data. Mentor: Christopher Rota. Cynthia is a Wildlife and Fisheries major in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Health Sciences & Community Health:

Winner: Gracie Anderson, presented: Analyzing Listener Effort and Discrimination Before and After Clear Speech Intervention. Mentor: Kenneth Morse. Gracie is a Communication Sciences and Disorders major in the School of Medicine at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Runner-up-tie:  Kailee Monaghan presented: mitoNEET Agonism Improves Cellular and Neuroinflammatory Outcomes in Rat Model Traumatic Brain Injury. Mentor: Gina Wilson. Kailee is a Biology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU.

Runner-up-tie: Katrina Hernandez presented: Loss of mitoNEET leads to reciprocal changes in neuroinflammation and neural activation. Mentor: Gina Wilson. Katrina is a Biology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Winner: Caleb Ford presented: Simulation of Energy Consumption of Autonomous Electric Vehicle. Mentor: Hailin Li. Caleb is a Mechanical Engineering major in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WVU.

Runner-Up: Samuel Chambers presented: Learning Layout Prompts for Enhancing Text-to-Image Generation. Mentor: Gianfranco Doretto. Samuel is a Computer Science major in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Social & Behavioral Sciences:

Winner: Janella Camp presented: Race and Ethnicity as Predictors of Breast Health. Mentor: Julie Hicks Patrick. Janella is a Biology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences and participates in the AGE-ADAR Scholars Program.

Runner-up-tie: Isabella Ferrell presented: Issue Framing and Environmental Public Opinion in the Americas. Mentor: Mason Moseley. Isabella is an International Studies and Political Sciences major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and participates in the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP).

Runner-up-tie: Alexis Pantalone presented: Omission Errors on a Token-Loss Procedure. Mentor: Claire St. Peter. Alexis is a Psychology major in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at WVU and presented their research as part of a 497-level undergraduate research course. 

Runner-up-tie: Dylan Huynh presented: The Sustainability of the Feeling AWE: Holding On to Feeling AWEsome. Mentor: Julie Hicks Patrick. Dylan is a Biology in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences major at WVU and presented their research as part of a 497-level undergraduate research course.
