Poster Presentations

The virtual poster presentations reflect a poster session you would typically encounter at a conference. Most poster presentations will include a poster discussion that is 5 minutes in length and be accompanied by a poster that you can explore in detail.

The traditional poster format constitutes a majority of the Spring Symposium presentations. Explore your preferred subject area below.

Note: the H uman Engagement category includes a range of presentations covering topics within the humanities, arts, social sciences, education, and business.

Agricultural & Environmental Sciences (23 posters)

Behavioral & Social Sciences (27 posters)

Biological & Biochemical Sciences (25 posters)

Health Sciences (34 posters)

Human Engagement (11 posters)

Physical Sciences & Engineering (43 posters)

Commenting on Presentations

Our virtual symposium uses the platform VoiceThread to enable virtual engagement between presenters and symposium attendees. We encourage attendees to leave a comment or question after watching the presentations, and student presenters will respond by or before April 30, 2020.

To leave a comment, follow the instructions below.

1. Create a free VoiceThread account using a non-WVU email address (i.e. instead use a gmail account, a yahoo account, etc.):  https://voicethread.com/register/

2. Navigate back to our symposium webpage and select the presentation on which you wish to comment.

3. If you are not already logged in, use the "sign in" button at the top right to log into your VoiceThread account.

4. Once logged in and viewing the presentation on which you wish to comment, use the + Comment button in the bottom center of the page to choose from the available methods (typing text, using your phone, recording an audio comment, recording a video comment, or uploading a comment). Drag the scrubber ball to the point in the presentation where you want to insert your comment, then add and save your comment.
