Undergraduates are encouraged to apply to engage in scholarly activity (research/creative work) via the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program. Applications are now open (March 2 application deadline). SURE is a PAID undergraduate research experience for students interested in GRADUATE SCHOOL and research/creative work within their discipline or a related discipline. 2020 SURE program dates are May 26-July 24, 2020.

Note:1) Due to funding limitations, participation in the funded portion of WVU SURE may be limited to one time per undergraduate.
2) The NSF-funded KY-WV LSAMP Alliance provides funding to support an additional 5+ undergraduate STEM majors in SURE who are also (i) underrepresented persons (e.g., Hispanic, African-American) and (ii) U.S. citizens/permanents residents of U.S. or its territories. WVU students who fit these demographics are encouraged to apply to SURE.
