Automnomous Driving Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunity
Undergraduate
students are invited to participate in the “Autonomous Driving: Education in
Communication” competition. For the opportunity to earn a $5,000, $3,000, or
$1,000 scholarship, undergraduates are asked to develop a chart or infographic
to communicate the levels of autonomous driving and sensor packages required to
the public.

Oak Ridge Institute for Science & Education - Virtual Recruitment Fair
The
Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Virtual Recruitment Fair
will be held Wednesday, November 13th, from 12:00 – 3:00 PM
EST. The fair will showcase more than twenty U.S. Department of Energy
sponsored programs, with paid opportunities for undergraduates, graduates,
postdocs, and faculty. During the Virtual Recruitment Fair, you can interact
with recruiters and scientists, and explore information about each
program. The event will remain open until November 17th for
those unable to attend live.

Undergraduate Research in Environmental Geochemistry
The WVU Dept. of Geology and Geography Environmental Geochemistry lab is looking for an undergraduate researcher for the remainder of the Fall 2019 semester and until March 1, 2020. This is a paid position. Preference will be given to students with prior lab experience or lab coursework and those willing to work over winter break. Students will be expected to work 4-10 hours per week.
Rural Student Scholarship
Rural Students (counties with less than 50,000 people) are eligible to apply for the Hagan Scholarship. Thus, many incoming students from West Virginia would qualify. One of the barriers to success in college is funding and this scholarship can help with the funding piece. The Hagan scholarship provides $6000 each semester for 8 semesters and they are currently funding 800 students from 42 states attending 325 colleges and Universities. More information?
