AWIS (Association of Women in Science)-National Events of Interest
AWIS corporate partner Genentech invites students to its Campus Engagement Week from November 2-6, 2020, which will be an opportunity for students from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds to gain insight into Genentech’s mission and culture, and learn about the process of landing Internship and Rotation Program opportunities at the company. See the event flier for more information and apply by Wednesday, September 30.
Join us for a film screening of Picture a Scientist exclusively for AWIS members and prospective members followed by a Q&A with directors and cast on October 13 at 1 p.m. ET. This feature-length documentary, selected for the Tribeca Film Festival, chronicles the journey of three women scientists and their experiences with overt harassment and implicit bias. It also includes supporting data and insights from twenty other science luminaries working to make science more diverse and inclusive. Register today for this special event.
The recording is now available for the Seattle AWIS event COVID-19 and the STEM Education Gap: How Diverse Women Lead the Charge. To watch the recording, use access code: Seattle1!
