Biomedical Research Day (BMRD)
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic we have had to change BMRD to a virtual format. The event will be held on December 16, 2020 from 6-8pm. We invite all STEM undergrads, to join us for this special 2 hour program to learn more about our summer research opportunities (SURF), PostBac (PREP) program, Doctoral and Masters degree programs.

Organization: Attendees will be greeted by faculty members who will answer your questions and usher you to a series of breakout rooms where you can meet our program faculty and students and learn more about individual programs. Please see below for full list of programs that will be represented
- 6.00 pm – 7.00 pm SURF, PREP, MS & MD/PhD degree overviews
- 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm Graduate fair for MS and Doctoral programs, SURF
Application Q&A and Links for Professional Development Resources: We will host a break out room for the entire time to answer questions and give links to our tutorials on topics such as: CVs/Resumes & Cover Letters, How to Find a Mentor and Get Great Letters of Recommendation and How to Find and Apply for a Biomedical PhD Program.
Applications for 2021 SURF Program
The online application for our 2021 SURF Programs has gone live. You can find more information about our different SURF programs and the application process by going to: http://med.uc.edu/SURF. The deadline for completed applications is February 1st, but we have a rolling admissions policy so we encourage students to apply over Christmas break to have the best possibility of matching with a great mentor.

*PREP@UC is a one-year Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program. It is open to recent or soon-to-be STEM baccalaureate graduates from underrepresented groups who aspire to enter a PhD program and pursue a research career in the biomedical sciences.
