The University of Lynchburg’s Westover Honors College is excited to announce the 2022 Virginias Collegiate Honors Council Meeting, themed “Reconnecting”. The conference dates are Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9, 2022. The meeting aims to unite Honors students from Virginia and West Virginia for interdisciplinary collaboration and community building.
VCHC seeks proposals from students of two- and four-year college and university Honors Programs across Virginia and West Virginia to showcase students’ innovative ideas and learning experiences, and also highlight the diverse opportunities in Honors education and activities around both states. Deans and Directors are also encouraged to register students who may benefit from attending and developing professional skills through peer interactions.
In-person participation is encouraged whenever possible. There are limited options available for virtual presentations and attendance will be prioritized for those from institutions with travel restrictions or bans.
Proposals may be submitted using the form on the conference page. Be sure to indicate the type of presentation with your submission. Proposals are due by Friday, March 4, 2022. Early submissions are encouraged to assist in conference planning. Accepted proposals will be notified in advance of the registration deadlines.
Registration forms must be completed by Friday, March 25, 2022. Registration covers dinner on Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, as well as other conference materials. The registration form is necessary for all in-person or virtual attendees, including all directors, presenting, and participating students. The form is available on the conference page.
