Applications for the 2022 – 2023 USGIF scholarship program are open through June 6th. USGIF assists promising students studying GEOINT, geospatial sciences, and related fields. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their academic and professional excellence as well as demonstrative service to the community.

Congratulations Research Apprenticeship Program Spring 2022 Graduates!
Ninety-two WVU undergraduate students graduated from the Research Apprenticeship Program (RAP) this Spring. In April, RAP 2 students presented their research projects at WVU’s 6th annual Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium in a wide variety of categories.
To celebrate their completion of RAP, program staff awarded students certificates. Additionally, GAs planned fun activities for their students, both indoors and outdoors, and snacks were provided to celebrate the success of the new RAP graduates!
Internship Opportunities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), the largest U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) science and energy laboratory, participates in DOE’s Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) and Community College Internships (CCI) Programs. These programs are sponsored and managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce development for Teachers and Scientists in collaboration with DOE national laboratories. The SULI and CCI programs are now accepting applications. The deadline to apply is May 26, 2022 at 5:00 pm EDT.
Heart & Vascular Institute Research Project Coordinator Needed
POSITION SUMMARY: This position will oversee the coordination and management of clinical research trials from start up through completion within the Heart & Vascular Institute. Accountable for implementing objectives and goals for each clinical trial and working directly with staff to assure the timelines are met. The role will coordinate/manage, analyze, and provide accurate and relevant data for administrators to track and make informed decisions for the conduction of enrolling research studies. Supports the research team in coordinating/managing start-up activities, facilitating progress across team members throughout the study, and providing tools, metrics, and analytics that foster all research activities. Works directly with Administrators, clinical trial sponsors, physicians, clinical research specialists, research regulatory and business, and other staff across all departments. Responsible for maintaining the Clinical Trial Management software system.
