Student researchers to present at Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol

Twenty-five West Virginia University students will participate in Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol from 8 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, in Charleston.

Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol provides students the opportunity to present their original scholarly works during a poster session and to talk with legislators about their findings. More than 100 student researchers from five institutions will present in the areas of creative arts, education, health sciences, humanities, STEM and social and behavioral sciences.

Spring Symposium Abstract Submission

Abstract submissions are now open for the 2026 Spring Research Symposium! This event offers a new twist on WVU’s traditional Annual Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium by recognizing the many individuals who support research and creative work across WVU. The program features joint undergraduate and graduate student performances, and oral presentations, that highlight the power of mentorship, along with evaluated undergraduate posters, oral presentations, and performances, as well as a dedicated graduate student poster session showcasing the depth of scholarly work at WVU.
