Participating students will spend the next two academic years honing marketable graduate-level skills in research, publication, and leadership and aim to create a sustainable academic fixture for students at WVU. The Office of Undergraduate Research will provide resources and guidance throughout the journal’s implementation.
Students can expect to take leadership in recruiting peer students for an editorial board, establishing a procedure for soliciting student-authored papers, and inviting WVU faculty members to serve on a faculty review panel.
In addition to opportunities helping behind the scenes, MURR also provides WVU undergraduate students with the opportunity to publish their work and deepen their engagement in their field of study. The journal also benefits WVU as a whole by further engraining WVU’s reputation as a research-intensive, land grant university.
If you would like to become a part of this community-wide initiative, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Research at MURR@mail.wvu.edu or 304-293-9354 to learn how you can get involved by or before March 8, 2019.
