WVU Student Researchers Present at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study.  NCUR will be taking place April 8 to 10, 2024 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, CA. West Virginia University will be sending five undergraduate student researchers to present their projects and advocate for undergraduate research.

APPLICATION NOW OPEN: Join UNC-EPIC Summer Camp on Network Data Analysis and Neuroscience

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is thrilled to invite you to participate in the UNC Education Program of Intelligence and Connectomics (UNC-EPIC) intensive 5-day summer camp! Their program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and mentorship in the analysis of connectome data, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. Participants will be introduced to advanced techniques in brain processing, analyzing, and visualizing structural and functional connectome data, all within the context of addressing real-world challenges in neuroscience and substance use.

This program is ideal for undergraduatesgraduates, and postdocs eager to advance their expertise in neuroscience data analysis. Students from underrepresented minority groups in STEM are strongly encouraged to apply!

WVU Student Researchers Present at 2024 URDC

Forty-nine West Virginia University students representing the Morgantown and Beckley campuses have been invited to participate in Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am in Charleston.

Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol provides students the opportunity to present their original scholarly works during a poster session and to talk with legislators about their findings. Nearly 100 student researchers from nine institutions will present in the areas of creative arts, education, health sciences, humanities, STEM and social and behavioral sciences.

2023 Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium: Winners and Runners-Up

Congratulations to the category winners and runners-up from WVU's 6th Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium held on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Thank you to all of our presenters for sharing your research and scholarship from this past fall semester!

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study. NCUR will be taking place April 8 to 10, 2024 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center in Long Beach, CA. They encourage student researchers to participate in NCUR in order to forge new connections, advocate for undergraduate research, build students' professional profiles, expand their resumes, hone their essential career skills, and much more.

To present at NCUR 2024, you must submit an abstract to NCUR by the abstract deadline of December 8, 2023. More information about NCUR can be found here

Paid Summer Research Opportunities at Locations Across the U.S.

If you are interested in research or a research career, you are strongly encouraged to apply for summer research opportunities beyond WVU. Many programs encourage applications by January 2024 though each program has its own deadline. To find external opportunities, check the External Opportunities posted on the Office of Undergraduate Research website.
