The WVU Humanities Center and WVU Libraries are inviting all undergraduate students to be part of Campus Read’s story this academic year by submitting their creative projects or scholarly works to be considered for public display in the inaugural Journal of the Campus Read.

Faculty and instructors may encourage their students to apply during the fall semester by submitting their class assignments, theses, capstones or independently conducted scholarship pieces, as long as they engage in humanistic inquiry and address issues or themes raised in “The Girl Who Smiled Beads,” the 2020-2021 Campus Read. 

UReCA: The NCHC Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity is a multidisciplinary Web journal sponsored by the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC). Our mission is to curate relevant, progressive and academic content that appeals to undergraduate students in the United States and abroad. We are seeking works from undergraduate students who are engaged in relevant and intriguing research.

Categories of submissions include:

WVU students engaged in undergraduate research activities or creative endeavors are encouraged to submit research articles and publishable creative projects to the student-led Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review (MURR). Students of all majors who are enrolled through spring 2020 are invited to apply.

The Office of Undergraduate Research is seeking undergraduate students with a strong interest in research, publishing, and scholarly communication to re-launch the WVU undergraduate research journal, the “Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review,” or MURR, in fall 2020. MURR was published in four volumes of open access journals from 2009-2014 and is accessible on the Research Repository @ WVU.
