Ole Miss Chemistry Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
Program: The Ole Miss Chemistry Department seeks applicants for an
NSF-funded summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in 2020.
Students who have completed their freshman year of college and who will not
have graduated as of Fall 2020 can participate fully in "Ole Miss Physical
Chemistry Summer Research Program" activities and work on a research
project under the direction of a faculty mentor. Student participants will
receive a $5,000 stipend, a housing and meal plan for ten weeks, and travel
assistance.
Eligibility: Undergraduate student participants must have completed
their freshmen year of college but not yet graduated, and must be citizens or
permanent residents of the United States or its possessions.
Underrepresented groups in science are strongly encouraged to apply, including
minorities, women, and first-generation college students.
Key Dates and Deadlines:
02/20/2020: applications due
05/28/2020: experience begins
08/6/2020: experience ends

The Ole Miss PCHEM Summer Research Program REU is supported by The National
Science Foundation (CHE-1156713, CHE-1460568, CHE-1757888).
WVU students engaged in undergraduate research activities or creative endeavors are
encouraged to submit research articles and publishable creative projects to
the student-led Mountaineer Undergraduate Research Review (MURR). Students of all
majors who are enrolled through spring 2020 are invited to apply.

The Robert F. Munn Library Scholars Award is presented annually to
a graduating Honors student for outstanding research contributions in the
humanities or social sciences that have culminated in the production of an
exceptional thesis or capstone research paper.
The award will be presented during a ceremony held at the Downtown
Campus Library. In addition, winners will be awarded $1,000. The Munn Award
judges may select up to three winners.
