Goldwater Scholarships recognize students who exhibit a strong commitment to a career in mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering. Scholarships provide $7,500 in funding for junior and senior year. Sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply.
To apply for one of the four West Virginia University nomination spots, please complete a pre-application. If ASPIRE determines you are eligible to apply, the full online application will be released to you. The full application is due Nov. 5. A committee will then select four applications to be submitted by West Virginia University to the national review committee. Please contact Leigh Pratt in the ASPIRE Office with questions.
