From the Research for Inclusive STEM Education (RISE) Center, Arizona State University:

We are a research team in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University interested in learning more about undergraduate research experiences.

We want to know about your personal experience in research so that we can improve undergraduate research experiences across the US. We would like you to consider completing a 10-minute survey about your experience in undergrad research. In exchange for completing the survey, you will be entered into a drawing for one of six $50 gift cards of your choice from Target, REI, Starbucks, or Amazon.

You are eligible to participate in this study if:

  • You have participated in an undergraduate research experience where you worked in a faculty member's research group.
  • You are a life sciences student and/or conducted research in the life sciences.
  • You are 18 years or older.

Access the survey here: https://asu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8elTwUHRSLUFu9U

Your research mentor will never see your answers to this survey. You may skip any question if you do not wish to answer it. Your participation in this study is voluntary.

If you have any questions concerning the research study, please contact the research team at: sara.brownell@asu.edu. If you have any questions about your rights as a subject/participant in this research, or if you feel you have been placed at risk, you can contact the Chair of the Human Subjects Institutional Review Board, through the ASU Office of Research Integrity and Assurance, at (480) 965-6788.

Thank you for your time and consideration!
