Sigma Xi Annual Meeting Call for Abstract Submissions

Are your students looking for an opportunity to present their research at an international, multidisciplinary conference? Invite them to submit an abstract for the 2021 Sigma Xi Student Research Conference, taking place November 4–7 in conjunction with the Sigma Xi Annual Meeting in Niagara Falls, New York.

Students are invited to submit abstracts for both oral and poster presentations across all research disciplines. The conference includes awards for top presenters as well as networking opportunities with peers and STEM professionals.

The Toxicology Mentoring and Skills Development Training Program (ToxMSDT) is a special opportunity for undergraduate science students to participate in a year-long toxicology training and mentoring program. Funded by NIH grant R25GM139200, with the Society of Toxicology as a partner, the goal of this program is to attract diverse, high achieving undergraduate students from around the United States to pursue careers in biomedical research, especially in the field of toxicology. Successful applicants will be teamed with a mentor and visit the mentor work site, attend three conferences, engage in online learning modules, and interact with the other students and program leaders. There is travel support for participation in all program activities. This program supplements the regular academic pursuits of the ToxMSDT students. The program starts September 1, 2021, and will conclude June 30, 2022.
