The Harvard Amgen Scholars Program invites current sophomores, current juniors and non-graduating seniors interested in biotechnology and biomedical science, to apply by Feb. 1. The program, which will run June 5 through August 11, 2023, is a 10-week residential program for students interested in doing biotechnology and biomedical science research and in pursuing the PhD or MD/PhD.
Students will work on research projects in Harvard laboratories and will participate in pre-professional development workshops and lectures. Students will have the opportunity to explore Cambridge, Boston and the surrounding areas through social activities with cohort members. Harvard Amgen Scholars receive free housing at Harvard University’s Cambridge campus, a stipend (which includes meal allowance) and receive support toward travel to/from Boston. Amgen Scholars attend the Amgen Scholars North American Conference at University of California, Los Angeles, with travel, lodging and meals at this conference fully paid. At the conference, students will participate in networking activities and lectures with other Amgen Scholars from host institutions and meet Amgen scientists and Amgen Scholars program alumni.
